We have in this tester or if you get the manual transmission both of them will automatically disengage the parking brake when you put them into gear andhead off on your way if there's anyonewho is fit for the job of testing backseat space well it's got to be mebecause I am 6 foot 2 and I have thisfront seat adjusted to where I'd besitting and as you can see it's a littletight back here I do have like amillimeter of legroom headroom I'm doingthe old neck crane I mean if I gostraight up on I am in the roof butthat's it for like some smaller kidsthis would be no problem or honestly foranyone who's not 6 foot 2 it would be anon-issue well I'm back here though Ican tell you the back seats do have thatsame blue black contrast pattern thatthe front seats have that I think looksreally cool and there is a littlefold-down armrest here that has twocupholdersthere is a pocket behind the passengerseat no pocket behind the driver's seatand that sunroof up there well it'spretty much just up there it does notextend towards the back there's a littlecutout for my head that I've noticed butyeah now I am at a loss for Headroom inthe backseat of the Corolla sedan on theCorolla hatchback you get 18 cubic feetof storage spaceand I'm happy to report that on theCorolla sedan you still get thirteenpoint one cubic feet of storage spacewhich is very very spacious for acompact sedan like this and to show youhow spacious it is well I'm gonna get inthe trunk for you guys oh I could livein here this is bigger than my collegedorm room yep oh yeah plenty I could situp I could have room for a coffee makerand maybe a toaster it's pretty dark butI have my little glowy pull-tab handlethat's not badso tuck behind some plastic up here inthe grill and at the top of thewindshield is a bunch of different radarand camera equipment that's part ofToyotas driver and safety enhancementsuite called Toyota safety cents 2.0this is standard on every single version of the 2020.

So the Tacoma the tundra theSequoia and the 4runner TRD pro will allget Android auto and I asked Toyota about this and I said you know can we just saw that these vehicles are gonna get an auto how come the Corolla sedan does not have it and the answer they gave me was that they're working on it there are still some cool features on the interior that Toyota carried over from the hatchback that I really like one is this little cubby in front of the gear lever that is its perfect size for your phone it's right next to the heated seat controls and yes this X se does come standard with heated front seats one other thing I am happy to report about here from the driver's seat is the fact that it is power adjustable you have forwards backwards ya up you have down you have your backrest all sorts of good stuff and there's even a lumbar support so very adjustable driver seat some other smart features I found on the inside of the Corolla sedan here well all four windows are one touch up one touchdown which is one of those little things that you don't realize you miss it until you don't have it but the 2020Corolla sedan does indeed have it whichI love when you push the IMT button theCorolla sedan will try its best to make sure that you don't stall it has stall mitigation and rev matching for your upshifts and down shifts it tries to makeup shifts more smooth and then ill Rev match your down shifts the other smart feature I wanted to bring up is the smart ebrake and it doesn't matter if you get the CVT like.

The sport trims actually do get a sporty-er engine and that is what's under the hood here it's a 2 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder that makes 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque again compare that to the previous generation and that is a much bigger power increase you get an extra thirty seven horsepower an extra 23 pound-feet of torque here you do have two choices of transmissions and they are different than the you would get on the base engine.
